Innovating for tomorrow: The EIT Community at the Greentech Festival

Which strategies empower changemakers to develop innovative, sustainable technologies for a greener future and how can different players work together to achieve the net zero goal? From May 16 to 17, 2024, Berlin took center stage as Europe’s hub for green innovation, hosting the sixth edition of the Greentech Festival (GTF). With the theme “Accelerating Change from Berlin,” the event connected over 14,000 visitors, 200 exhibitors and more than 350 speakers to explore groundbreaking solutions and bold visions shaping a sustainable future.

The path to climate neutrality: INNOVEIT Conference sparks momentum for a greener future

On May 15, the INNOVEIT Conference at Wartehalle Berlin set the stage for meaningful dialogue and innovation. Under the theme “Road to net zero with Europe’s largest innovation ecosystem,” participants exchanged ideas on developing sustainable technologies and pioneering approaches to achieve climate neutrality. Esteemed speakers, including Dr. Nikolai Ardey (Volkswagen Group), Mathias Kaldenhoff (SAP), and Dr. Anna Christmann from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), shared their insights and experiences, highlighting both the challenges and opportunities of driving sustainable transformation.

EIT Community als Plattform für nachhaltige Start-Ups

Am Messestand der EIT Community hatten die Besucher:innen des Greentech Festivals die Gelegenheit, mehr über die Angebote von Europas größtem Innovationsnetzwerk zu erfahren. Zudem konnten sie die innovativen Technologien von neun Start-Ups aus dem EIT-Ökosystem entdecken – von pflanzenbasiertem Sashimi über energiespeichernde Möbel bis hin zu Echtzeit-Carbon-Messungen für Städte.

EIT Community: A platform for sustainable startups

At the EIT Community booth, visitors of the Greentech Festival had the opportunity to explore the offerings of Europe’s largest innovation network. They also discovered cutting-edge technologies from nine startups within the EIT ecosystem – ranging from plant-based sashimi and energy-storing furniture to real-time carbon measurement solutions.

As an agency partner, we supported the INNOVEIT team in the successful planning and execution of the conference and the booth at the Greentech Festival. Our focus was on showcasing the EIT Community as an innovation ecosystem and highlighting its role as a driving force behind groundbreaking developments in sustainability and greentech.
